Here at Geared Up Cycles we want to take the hassle out of getting your bike serviced. So, we are now pleased to offer a workplace collection and delivery service.
How does it work? Simple.
You book your bike in online using our easy to use booking tool. We collect your bike from your workplace on the allocated day, take it away and carry out the service and then drop it back. As easy as that, giving you more time to get out and ride. Any bike - any model.
Our collection and delivery service is run on a monthly rota. The timings and locations are listed further down the page, along with the booking tool and some FAQs.
The C&D service is free of charge if operating within our rota as published below. We can do custom collections outside of this rota, but these might be subject to a call out fee and availability.
How long will my service or repair take?
We always aim to have the bike back with you in the shortest timeframe possible. As a guide, Monday collections would be dropped back Thursday, Wednesday collections would be dropped back Friday. These are as a guide only and can be subject to parts availability or jobs that need sending offsite (eg forks or shock servicing). We will keep you updated throughout, but do let us know if there are specific timeframes you need us to accommodate.
How often should I get my bike serviced?
This all depends on how much you use your bike! If you're a commuter and use it every day, I would recommend a service every 3-4 months. If you are a casual user and ride at weekends I would recommend every 5-6 months. If you are a very occasional user - then a yearly service should be sufficient. It is always a good idea to perform some basic maintenance on your bike when you use it, lubricate the chain and drive train, keep the tyres inflated and check for wear and tear as this will help elongate the bike’s efficiency.
Which service should I go for?
As a rough guide;
Silver service - last service was within 6-9 months
Gold service - last serviced within 12 months
Platinum service - was last serviced longer than 12 months ago

Can we collect for a service outside of the rota timings?
Yes we can, however it could be subject to availability and a call out charge, so do get in touch before booking and we can confirm for you. If in a rush, we can also offer an expedite service for an additional fee, subject to availability.
Is there a limit to the number of bikes I can book?
The maximum number of bikes per collection is 3-4 (depending on the model).
